Perfect 10

January 8, 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR, BONNE ANNEE!!  Resolutions have been made and now it’s time to get back to work after the holidays.  I actually took time out this year while my family came to stay, which can be hard to do when you work from home.  Even when my office door is firmly shut I can hear my characters knocking and shouting – ‘Oi, don’t ignore us, we’re still in here you know!’  After a few days of pressies, food, wine, cold water surfing and fun, I was in fact ready and willing to get back to my desk and start writing again.  I’m working on character stories for my latest film and I am about to write the 30,001st word of my latest book so there is plenty to be getting on with.  I also have lush new Chrimbo notebooks and pens and plenty of selection box sweets in reserve for the task.

2010 – a new year, a new decade - here’s to it being happy, healthy, successful and a perfect 10! xx

Welcome

November 17, 2009
Welcome to my first blog of many (I hope) which I will either write when I have exciting news to impart or when I am trying to avoid my real work as all we writers do from time to time!  As much as I love my job, some days sitting alone staring at an empty page on a computer screen can be soul destroying, which is why a change of scenery can be very inspirational.  Even at University I was partial to studying outdoors and I could usually be found revising beside the fountain in the centre of ...
